Wholesale pricing

Wholesale orders start at 20 pieces. Pricing depends on the quantity ordered and the casting material you choose. Use the current pricing chart below to compare material and quantity options.

Pricing is based on our standard-size figures. When made with Magic Pour, finished pieces average around 2-3 oz each. Actual finished weight can vary depending on the casting powder selected. The molds and surface area stay the same, though, so a weight difference reflects the density of the casting material, not a smaller figure.

Choosing a casting powder

The biggest differences between these materials are the color and finish, strength, working time, drying time, and overall quality. Each powder creates a slightly different figure. The main things to consider are your budget, the color and texture you want, how much surface preparation you’re willing to do, and when you need your order. I offer several options because everyone’s priorities and budget are a little different. 

• Plaster of Paris - lowest price, more rustic finish: This is my most economical option. Figures are typically off-white or beige, more porous, and chalkier than those made with the other powders. Even with extra care during casting and cleanup, small surface bubbles and other imperfections are more common. If you choose Plaster of Paris, please be prepared for that finish and for a longer drying and production time. You may want to sand and seal the pieces before painting, depending on the result you’re after.
• Perfect Plaster - traditional plaster with a slightly improved finish: This is a step up from basic Plaster of Paris, but the figures can still have a chalkier texture and small surface imperfections. It also needs more drying time than the faster casting powders. Sanding or sealing may help if you want a more even painted finish.
• Perfect Cast - a smoother middle option: Perfect Cast produces a stronger, smoother figure than traditional plaster. It’s a good choice if you want to move beyond the basic plaster finish without choosing one of the higher-priced powders. Because it can absorb paint unevenly, I recommend considering a sealer before painting.
• Mix2Mold - bright white and excellent for painting: Mix2Mold produces a hard, bright white figure. In my own paint tests, it absorbed acrylic paint especially well, making it one of my favorite choices for paintable wholesale figures. It has a slightly different feel from the very smooth finish of OSBANGor Magic Pour, often times with a slightly chalky finish, but offers a nice balance of appearance, paintability, and price.
• OSBANG - smooth, white, durable, and reliable: OSBANG is one of my favorite all-around options and one I recommend if you want a polished finish. It produces a bright white figure with crisp detail, very little chalkiness, and a smooth feel. It is comparable to Magic Pour in many of the qualities buyers tend to look for, while currently being easier for me to keep on hand for wholesale orders.
• Magic Pour - smooth finish, subject to availability: Magic Pour is the powder I’ve most often used for my own retail paint kits. It produces smooth, bright figures that usually need very little cleanup. Its cost has increased, and supply has become less predictable, so Magic Pour orders may cost more or require additional lead time. If timing matters, I’m happy to discuss OSBANG as a comparable option.

For wholesale pieces that will ultimately be painted, any of these materials can work. It really comes down to your budget and which qualities are most important to you.

My recommendation: Choose Plaster of Paris when keeping the price low matters most and you’re comfortable with a more porous, imperfect finish. Choose Mix2Mold for a bright white figure that paints beautifully, or Osbang for a smooth, durable figure with a more polished feel. You can select specific molds and designs, or ask us to put together a mixed variety. Any figure included in our $7 paint kits is eligible for wholesale orders. A few larger designs may be priced slightly differently because they require more material. If that applies to your order, we will let you know before you commit.

What is included

Wholesale pricing covers the unfinished plaster figures without retail packaging. If you need supplies, we can also add filled paint trays, empty paint trays, paintbrushes, or any combination of these items for an additional cost.
